I have this issue now where hubby wants to place track lighting or hanging fixtures on each side of a ceiling fan in a vaulted great room that is 18' L x 16' W. The ceiling is whitewashed planks, no recessed lights, and a white beam across the length of the center of ceiling. Had one electric box and fed off of it, using conduit to hide the electrical. We are in an industrial loft, so this look fits, since it's all over the loft. Because the ceilings are so high, we had to bring in a lift and remove the island to get under the light location. Luckily we had built the island and know how it came apart.
